Moksha (Peacock 解脫)
Moksha (Peacock 解脫)
2017. CHALK ON BLACK PAPER. 5’ 6” X 4’.

Moksha means freedom from saṃsāra, the cycle of death and rebirth.
This mural was created after a significant moment in Tang's life. It is drawn after hearing the news that her grandmother had passed away. In this moment, Tang saw an image of a graceful peacock flying upwards and being lifted into the spirit world. Her grandmother was a very loving and caring grandmother with an open mind, and helped to open the minds of Tang's own parents during times of struggle in her personal life. She always knew what everyone needed. She is greatly missed.
