Sketches
Sketches are as raw as it gets. The above photo is taken at Tang’s studio at 100 Braid in New Westminster—home to the largest collection of shared working artist’s studio outside of Vancouver. This is where Tang gets to exercise her creativity and spread charcoal dust everywhere! She often practices creating an illusion so objects and animals appear as if they are coming out of the paper. Countless attempts are made until she finds the perfect angle. There is so much that happens behind the scenes before the fame—this is a just a taste of it. Below are miniature versions to some of her large murals.
